+ Can I use any of the copy/text from the demo website?

Yes, you can. However, just remember that many other photographers may also want to use the same copy. Perhaps you can put your own little “spin” on it?

+ Can I use the exact same fonts from the demo website?

Yes, you can. All body copy fonts are available either on Squarespace or on Google Fonts and therefore are free to use. However, heading fonts used on the demo websites are purchased from Creative Market. In order to install the heading fonts on your website, you will need to purchase the font file from Creative Market under a “Commercial License”. A link to the heading font used on the demo website will be available in your Template User guide.

+ What is the “Template + Installation + Branding” process?

  1. Purchase your Hello Magic Studio template
  2. Receive an email with a PDF download.
  3. Receive an email within one business day of your purchase with instant access to the design files and tutorials, as well as the “Hello Branding” workbook.
  4. Complete the branding workbook and schedule your Strategy Call.
  5. Receive the first iteration of your logo, mood board and style guide within five business days of the Strategy Call.
  6. Finalise your branding with four rounds of revision within five business days of the first iteration.
  7. Set up your Squarespace account and grant contributor access to Hello Magic Studio (don’t worry, detailed instructions will be provided!)
  8. Receive an email with your Installation Date
  9. Receive an email confirming your template installation is complete
  10. Complete the training videos, prepare and upload/add your content (images and copy) and follow the steps to publish your site
  11. Pop the bubbly and share your #businesswin on Instagram!

+ What is the “Template + Installation” process?

  1. Purchase your Hello Magic Studio template
  2. Receive an email with instant access to the design files and tutorials
  3. Set up your Squarespace account and grant contributor access to Hello Magic Studio (don’t worry, detailed instructions will be emailed to ya!)
  4. Receive an email within one business day with your Installation Date

  6. Sign up for your free Adobe Illustrator trial and customize your graphics (optional!).
  7. Complete the training videos, prepare and upload/add your content (images and copy) and follow the steps to publish your site

+ What do I need?

  1. A Squarespace subscription, on either the Business, Basic Commerce or Advanced Commerce Plan (the Personal Plan cannot be used as it does not allow for the use of custom code). Upon your template purchase, you will recieve my Circle Member discount code for 20% off your first month or year. To learn more about Squarespace subscriptions, visit www.squarespace.com/pricing.
  2. Access to Adobe Illustrator in order to access your website graphics. You can sign up for a 30-day free trial which is usually more than enough time to get your graphics done (a.k.a. no ongoing costs!). To install Illustrator on your computer, visit www.adobe.com/creativecloud/plans.html
  3. If your chosen template included custom blog graphics, you will require ongoing access to Canva. You can set up a free account at www.canva.com.

+ What’s not included?

  • Domain, email marketing, or social media account connection
  • Squarespace subscription fees
  • Illustrator subscription fees
  • Adding content to your website (portfolio, copy, etc.)
  • Re-formatting of existing pages or blog posts

Images

The images used on the demo site are copyright protected. A series of free stock images may be uploaded as placeholders. You are free to use these images on your published website.

Font files

Hello Magic Studio templates contain copyrighted font files. If you wish to use the identical fonts on your published website, you must purchase them before your Installation Date. A link to the font used on the demo template with be provided in your Template User Guide. This rule also applies to the “Template + Installation + Customization” package. After you have approved of your style guide, including typography choices, you will receive a link for purchasing your new brand fonts (usually between $15-$30 USD).

Logo

The logo used on the demo template is copyright protected, and therefore will not be installed on your Squarespace account.

+ What can I customise?

Everything! The training videos will teach you everything you need to know so that you can manage, update and tweak your own website! The template will serve as a starting point, but you are free to change anything from fonts, colors to graphics and layouts. Each template comes with a series of training videos to help you master Squarespace so you can get creative and go customisation wild!

+ What happens if I have trouble with my template after it has been installed?

Your template purcahse includes two months of tech support. You may submit a support ticket to ask your question. However, we encourage you to follow the training videos/instructions right to the end in case your problem is solved later on.

+ What if I get stuck after my template has been installed?

I’m here for you boo! Your template purchases comes with two months of tech support! You can submit a support ticket any time in the 60 days following your template Installation Date.

+ How long after purchasing the “Template + Installation” package will my website be live?

Short answer: At least one week.

After purchasing your template, you will receive an email within one business day confirming your installation date. We aim to complete installations within one week of the purchase date, however on some occasions this may not be possible. In all circumstances, we will endeavour to have your installation completed as soon as possible.

You will receive an email after your installation is complete. At that stage, you are free to customize your website, add your content, complete the SEO Checklist and work your way through the Launch Checklist. You should be able to complete these tasks within a day or two, however it may take a little longer.

+ How long after purchasing the “Template + Installation + Branding” package will my website be live?

Short answer: At least three weeks.

After purchasing your template, you will receive an email containing your branding workbook and a second email inviting you to book a Strategy Call. You are free to choose a date that suits you, however your branding workbook and Pinterest Inspiration Board must be complete before the Strategy Call.

After the Strategy Call, you will receive the first iteration of your brand within five business days. You will have an additional five business days from the date you receive the first iteration to complete up to four rounds of revisions.

When your branding process is complete, you will receive an email with your template installation date. We will aim to complete installations within one week, however on some occasions this may not be possible. In all circumstances, we will endeavour to have your installation completed as soon as possible.

You will receive an email after your installation is complete. At that stage, you are free to further customize your website, add your content, complete the SEO Checklist and work your way through the Launch Checklist. You should be able to complete these tasks within a day or two, however it may take a little longer.

+ I don’t really understand the difference between the two packages/I’m having trouble deciding which package to choose! Can you help?

Sure can!

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Does my business already have an excellent logo and favicon that will look great on this template?
  • Do I feel confident choosing a beautiful color palette for my website (or am I happy to use the demo colors)?
  • Do I want to change the change the colours or fonts used on the demo template and am I happy to complete those tasks myself?
  • Do I have the time/confidence to customize the website graphics using Illustrator?

If you answered “no” to any of these questions, the “Template + Installation + Branding” is the best choice for you.

If you already have a great logo and branding, and feel confident making customization to the template on your own, then the “Template + Installation” package is a good fit.

 
 
 

 Template Policies

TEMPLATE TERMS & CONDITIONS

By purchasing our products you are legally bound to the following terms and conditions.

Our designs are copyrighted by Hello Magic Studio and have a credit at the bottom of the template which is required to remain for all designs. The credit must read "Template Design by Hello Magic Studio", include a link to the Hello Magic Studio website (www.hellomagic.io) and be visibly displayed in the footer.

You may not resell the design or claim the design as your own. Sinead Alexandria Easdon owns the property rights to all designs within your template. You are prohibited from sharing the template with additional users. Designers are prohibited from purchasing our templates, claiming them as their own and promoting them as their original design work. 

Each template purchase may be used for one website only. You may not share any of the contents of the design files (including the custom CSS), your MemberVault User Guide login information or training videos.

All images used in demo templates are sourced from professional photographers and are protected under copyright laws. You may not use any images used in the demo templates. 

If you have purchased our installation service, your template may be installed using images from free stock image websites. We can’t guarantee that these images will always be free to use. To avoid any licensing issues, you are required to replace these photographs with your own / source images yourself. We hold no liability for any image licensing issues that may occur through the use of the supplied images.

All body copy fonts used in the demo templates are free to use and available on Squarespace. Most heading fonts used in the demo templates are purchased from Creative Market and are protected under a Commercial License. If you wish to use the same font on your website, you must purchase the font under a Commercial License.

To edit the design files, you will need access to Adobe Illustrator. Most people download a free trial for this which is available to anyone by visiting www.bit.ly/creative-cloud-plans. 

All Hello Magic Studio templates include optional custom code snippets. The code included in the design files will be written in CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). The CSS snippets are designed to enhance and fine-tune the Template, however use of them is not necessary for achieving an overall professional and functional website. If you wish to use the included custom code, you will need a Squarespace Business Plan subscription. 

Please note, updates to the Squarespace platform can cause a site's custom code to behave differently or break. This means custom code can interfere with your site's behavior or stop working at any time, even if it previously working without issue. Because of this, Squarespace and Hello Magic Studio cannot ensure that any custom code will be compatible with the Squarespace platform. However, as CSS is a largely static language (not subject to very much change over time), this is unlikely to happen. 

All prices displayed on the Hello Magic Studio website are in USD.


REFUND POLICY

Due to the fact that all of our products are digital, they cannot be returned or exchanged. We cannot issue refunds after the purchase is made. Please be sure to review the template demos and features, FAQs and support, and program requirements prior to purchasing. If you have any theme specific questions, please contact us.


TEMPLATE SUPPORT POLICY

Your Squarespace template includes two months of tech support. Even though the templates have been designed to be DIY-friendly, we understand that building a website for the first time can be challenging!

Outlined below is some information about the support we can offer in the two months following your template purchase date. 

  • Issues relating to the template itself

  • Trouble-shooting installation problems

  • Support using the downloads and provided files

  • Support editing the custom CSS

General Squarespace related questions must be directed to Squarespace Customer Service. They have an excellent, award-winning team of staff who are available to help you improve your Squarespace skills and troubleshoot any Squarespace related problems.

If you require support within the two months following your template purchase date, please submit a ticket at the bottom of this page. We aim to respond to support tickets within one business day.


“INSTALLATION ONLY” TEMPLATE PACKAGE POLICY

If you already have a live Squarespace website, the Template Only Installation includes: 

  • Adding a basic “Under Construction” page to your current website.

  • Moving all of your existing pages into the “Not Linked” section of your website.

  • Installing the Demo Template on your Squarespace website.

If you don’t have a live Squarespace website, the Template Only Installation includes: 

  • Installing the Demo Template on your Squarespace account as a new website.

The “Installation Only” Template Package also includes:

  • Mobile optimization via custom CSS

  • Two months of tech support

  • Access to the training videos

The “Installation Only” Template Package doesn’t include:

  • Adding your content to your website. This installation will appear exactly the same as the demo template, and you will be responsible for adding your own content, editing your graphics, changing images, adding your logo (etc). If you already have a live site, all of your existing pages will be put into the “Not Linked” section of your website, and new pages will be created for the template installation. You will need to add your existing content (text, images, etc.) into the new template pages.

  • Assistance with migrating from another platform, migrating pages, connecting your domain, signing up for Squarespace or anything else that isn’t related to installing the Demo template.

  • Connecting your social media accounts: This may be required on the template (e.g. if your template has an Instagram feed or Social links). The Squarespace Template tutorials will show you how to connect these yourself.

  • Any template or design customizations.

  • Revisions of any kind. 

After purchasing the Template Installation, you will receive some basic instructions and a short questionnaire. 

If you require the template to be installed on your current live site, you will be required to give us full access. You will receive instructions on how to do this after your purchase.

We will always do our best to have your template installed within five business days. However, this time frame may vary and although unlikely, it is possible that the installation may take longer. If we foresee that it may take more than five business days, we will be sure to let you know. 

We will do our best to protect your existing site content, and it is unlikely for anything to go wrong. However, Hello Magic Studio cannot be held responsible for any content on your site (including pages, text, or custom code) that gets accidentally deleted or corrupted while we are Installing your new template. We recommend always backing up your site information, including custom code.

Although this isn’t likely, we can’t be responsible for any Squarespace related errors that occur while we’re working on your site that results in the loss of any of your content or other damages.

Please note that when we are installing a template onto an existing site we won’t edit anything on your existing pages, however the appearance of them will change due to site-wide style changes. 

Hello Magic Studio reserves the right to decline or cancel any installation at any time. In the event of an installation order being cancelled, Hello Magic Studio will refund the full amount of the installation service. 


“INSTALLATION + BRANDING” TEMPLATE PACKAGE POLICY

If you already have a live Squarespace website, the “Installation + Branding” Template Package includes:

  • Adding a basic “Under Construction” page to your current website.

  • Moving all of your existing pages into the “Not Linked” section of your website.

If you don’t have a live Squarespace website: 

  • Creation of a new website under your Squarespace account.

The “Installation + Branding” Template Package also includes:

  • Branding package: mood board, typography (including purchase of premium font licenses), primary logo design, secondary logo design, favicon design, color palette.

  • Customization and preparation of site graphics

  • Template installation using your brand fonts, colors, and logos

  • Mobile optimization via custom CSS

  • Two months of tech support

  • Access to the self-installation training videos

The “Installation + Branding” Template Package doesn’t include:

  • Adding your content to your website. This installation will appear exactly the same as the demo template other than changes to the colors, fonts and branding. If you already have a live site, all of your existing pages will be put into the “Not Linked” section of your website, and new pages will be created for the template installation. You will need to add your existing content (text, images, etc.) into the new template pages.

  • Assistance with migrating from another platform, migrating pages, connecting your domain, signing up for Squarespace or anything else that isn’t related to installing the Demo template.
